Real Madrid is a perfect 5 for 5 so far this season. Los Blancos have won their first 4 encounters in LaLiga and their opening group stage match in the Champions League. If we include their win over Eintracht Frankfurt for the UEFA Super Cup as part of this season…they are a perfect 6 out of 6.
It hasn’t been smooth sailing though. Real Madrid does have a tendency to take their foot off the gas and let teams get back into the game at times but overall, once Real Madrid get into their rhythm, they can look dominant and even unstoppable at times.
However, Real Madrid’s recent victory over Celtic in the Champions League was bittersweet. They took home the victory but will lose Karim Benzema to injury for a few games. But perhaps the solace Madridistas can take away from the situation is that it seems like Eden Hazard may finally be finding his form again. But…there simply is no substitute for Benzema, and management’s lack of any movement in the transfer window to remedy the team’s lack of depth at the No. 9 position is showing itself much earlier in the season than expected.
In this episode, we discuss the return from our extended summer hiatus, Los Blancos perfect start, transfer window woes, the rise of Aurelien Tchouameni, and more.
