After a 2-1 lost to Levante, Real Madrid have little to fight for as they now sit 10 points behind La Liga leaders Atlético Madrid.
Los Blancos have little left but to rise from the ashes left from this season and fight in La Liga to at least finish in 2nd, as well as try to turn tragedy into a miracle with a strong run in the UCL.
It is unlikely that Real Madrid will end this season with any silverware but perhaps more important than trophies is the need for Real Madrid to rebuild and put together a winning project. A project that will have the difficult task of putting the Cristiano Ronaldo/UCL 3-peat era behind and bringing a new legacy of European triumphs to the Bernabeu.
It will not be easy and it will be painful. But Madrid can no longer continue on the route it is currently on.
We discuss what we feel the new project will entail, including what players need to bid farewell to the team for good, and what needs to be done with the stars that are left behind.
