With a hard fought 2-1 win over last-placed SD Huesca, Real Madrid hope to show that they are still in the fight for La Liga.
It was by no means Real Madrid’s best game. In fact, the game was goalless until Huesca’s Javi Galan scored a screamer in the 48th minute. Los Blancos were once again looking to suffer another humiliating loss against a team that, on paper, should be no problem for them.
However, as has been customary this season, Real Madrid are finding ways to win when their backs are against the wall and Zidane’s job as head coach is holding on by a thread.
Real Madrid was able to turn things around and walk away with the 3 points.
And after Zidane’s fiery press conference earlier in the week where he told reporters to let him and the players do their job, the team seemed to, at least for now, be making good on his promise to fight for La Liga.
In this episode, we discuss the gritty win over Huesca, Vincius Jr.’s slight improvement, the problems with our attack, Zidane’s coaching, our injury woes, and much more.
