It’s crunch time (again) for Real Madrid as they are in the home stretch of the season with chances to win both La Liga and the Champions League.
With Barcelona’s loss to Granada earlier in the week and Sevilla’s loss against Athletic Bilbao, the La Liga title race will come down to the wire and will be contested by three very familiar foes…Atlético Madrid, Barcelona, and Real Madrid.
Both Real Madrid and Barcelona are tied on points with Real Madrid winning the tiebreaker on head-to-head wins. However, both of the La Liga giants are still 2 points behind Atlético Madrid. With only 4 games left in La Liga, a slip-up by any team could dent any hopes of lifting the title.
However, Real Madrid is the only Spanish team left in the UEFA Champions League. After their 1-1 draw versus Chelsea in Madrid, Los Blancos now head to Stamford Bridge where they will try and stamp their ticket to the UCL final in Istambul.
In this episode of the podcast, we discuss the importance of Real Madrid’s upcoming games against both Chelsea and Sevilla, the return of some important players towards the end of the season, and what it would mean for Zidane’s legacy if he were to lead Los Blancos to both the La Liga and UCL trophy in what has been a dramatic and difficult season.
